Yeah, I read that yesterday.

Funny thing was that while I was watching Andy Rooney on Sunday I wished someone would point out all the errors in his thinking. Thank goodness for blogs; someone else felt the same way.

It's amazing how much lower quality his segments are from the rest of 60 Minutes. It's become more and more noticible, too, at least for me. There are so many others that could do better.

I haven't watched 60 Minutes in ages. I was always entertained as a kid by Andy Rooney - I think I've just always wanted to be a complaining old man. The title of the post is a reference to a frequent customer at Waldenbooks. This poor old bastard would come in every couple of weeks and ask me and Tony if Andy Rooney had any new books out.

I know I shouldn't laugh, as I'll (hopefully) be that old someday.

I want to be a complaining old man too. Being a complaining young man doesn't have the same charm.

How dare you impune my journalistic integrity. My folksy charm and grandfatherly wisdom has made me a staple in American homes for decades. Yes, Bush may not have said or even intimated the things I attributed to him on Sunday, but I recall Art Buchwald mentioning to me that Bush was thinking those things. I'm Andy Rooney, damn it, and I won't be stopped
