I talked to Joe this afternoon (on the shitter). He seems like he is coming down in October. I told him he's welcome to flop here until he gets a place. I'm trying to convince him to temp.

Bleah. Looking for jobs is demeaning. Plan B is hurry up and find a real job real quick, by the way.

The interview went pretty well. The library down there is a palace - two whole floors of journals! I have applied for another job at UM as well as a host of others. I even applied to be assistant manager of the USS Constellation gift shop, but the job was already filled.

I read the new version of our tale last night. I am getting to the point where I am liking it as writing rather than as a story about people I know. Good stuff. I liked "the humid mass of youth" or something like that.

Nothing much on this end of the world...does seem like a whole 'nother world up here in Chas. Village as compared to Brooklyn...no one being shot in the face up here.

Anyhoo...Spinning Plates is coming along like mad...at least a thousand new words a night...crazymad.

Up to about 31000 total now. Groovy.

Oh, I talked to Joe this afternoon on IM. He sounded a bit unsure of what the next step is for him...but seemed mostly happy. Was good to hear, so to speak.

Anyway...

Worked at Halloween Adventure today. What a fucking joke. I show up and the manager doesn't even know I'm supposed to be there. I was trained on absolutly nothing. I vacuumed the store and then spent 5 hours wandering around. Finally I told the manager that if there wasn't anything for me to do, then I was leaving. And leave I did. On fucking Labor Day they have me come in to do nothing! Well, I don't think I'll be going back to that place. Time for the all-purpose contingency plan (Yes... B).
