Why Yes, I Am Ready For Some Football
Topic: sports
Just wanted to get these on the record before kickoff tonight:

Steelers: 6-10. Sorry Draper.
Redskins: 9-7, Wild Card. Check the weak schedule.
Ravens: 9-7, AFC North champs. EEED REEED!
Super Bowl: Chiefs over the Saints. The NFC sucks big-time, hence the Saints.

MWF seeks someone not obsessed with football to spend Sundays with. Not looking for a new husband, mind you, just someone who doesn't spend Sundays eating quiche and banana pudding while yelling at the TV with other jerks. Anyone interested in keeping me company on any Sunday through the Superbowl, please let me know.

Two things.

Mark: You're a drunk and you are wrong. But, other than that:
Steelers 10-6, AFC North champs
Ravens 9-7, maybe a wild card, but come on, who is their QB, and will Jamal be in jail? And, fuck Deion.
Redskins 9-7, but if they actually make the fuckin' playoffs I will paint myself head to toe in Burgundy and Gold body paint the first day of the playoffs.

Liz: I will pass your ad. on to Megan.

Can someone make note of this post in case the Redskins do make the playoffs?

Hell, Liz you can print it out and pass it around. Make copies, post them on telephone poles. It won't happen, this year, anyway. I think Marc should join me in this gamble. Who wouldn't love to see his hairy carcas head to toe in black and gold paint? I know I would. Marc, you feeling lucky?

A drunk? Perhaps. But wrong? Draper, you should know by now that I have never been wrong about anything.

I have very little faith in the Steelers defense, and after their token committment to running the ball, they'll revert to the 40+ passes of recent years. I wouldn't be surprised to see them open 0-4 (Raiders, @Baltimore, @Miami, Cincinnati). Look on the bright side - at least you'll get to see Roethlisberger play.

Who is playing QB for the Ravens is irrelevant, because they have the best running back in the league (assuming Professor Billick has the sense to run him). I think the legal problems won't come up until after the season. Also, fuck Deion.

The Skins probably have the best schedule in the league:
aside from the NFC East and the AFC North (both weak), they also get the Niners, the Bears, the rebuilding Bucs, and the Lions. And they play the Vikings the last game of the season, which is well past quittin' time for those clowns. I just hope Tony hasn't forgotten what it's like to root for the Skins in a non-ironic fashion.
